We went to the grass banks that are just above the village again, and had our most exciting dig to date! Lots of trees here and I got a great signal, but it was coming from a spot between the roots, so called himself over and he managed to wiggle it out it was pinched between the actual roots.. the excitement was nearly overwhelming as he patiently worked it …. Finally this gorgeous shoe buckle appeared! How totally cool was that!

nice livery button, a decrotated piece, a cheap ring, a much corroded pen knife, buttons and 2 other bits!

cheated slightly as this time the flower pic is from the garden, but as the site is only 5 mins down the track…. Think I can claim they are from the site! 😆 xx

Don't be disappointed there was only a bunch of old stuff. Just keep trying.
:laughing7:

I'm liking the livery button too. Just because there's so many choices maybe. And it reminds of related however remotely , deer in my environment.

Congrats!
And good patience on himself's root work around/withs.
He'll make a top notch detectorist yet!

Great job, himself, for saving your damsel in distress! Nice finds. The reindeer button is sweet. I’m drooling over the pic of the turret! 🏰

Hello Jorgke, Ah thank you! No we do not sell anything, I just pop them into Tupperware boxes and we keep them! One day I will convert our potting shed into a Museum! 😆 xx

15,000 acres - wow! Enough for several lifetimes! What a privilege!
I have maybe 1,000 acres to roam on but only a few are detectable. But it's enough for me. I work alone and a pretty old.

Blossum, its simply not fair, having super finds in a setting that is to die for. I’ve been all over England, love York and the Lake district best as well as Bath Easton across the street from Jane Seymours Castle. Say the word, I’m on the next flight.
