Yesterday's Water Finds

Got out to this beach for the 3rd and final time of this year. I won't go back here until about this time next year. I pulled out another $1.46 in clad, which is low compared to previous hunts. I also got the following:

2 sterling toe rings, sterling earring, a 1923 Mercury Dime, and a token I need some help on.

It is a good luck token that reads "Larry Pickens Wash. D. C. 1954" and has two flags on the back.

Nice finds! If you scored a merc there I wouldn't wait to go back.

The merc was an odd find. The lake wasn't created until the 1960s or 1970s and the beach is even more recent. And as far as coins go, I want older than mercs ;)

Plus the signals became very rare. Gotta wait until next year when people lose some more loot!

Re: Yesterday's Water Finds

is that a bangle bracelet? is it sterling..if so I LOVE IT

Re: Yesterday's Water Finds

Excellent finds! Congrats.

Re: Yesterday's Water Finds

nice stuff Brian. that token is an arcade token. i have found a couple. there used to be a machine at the arcade or amusement parks that would drop a blank token down and you could stamp whatever you wanted on it using a series of levers. here's one i found. you are really tearing it up with that Excalibur! have you tried it on land yet?

Nope, haven't tried it on land and I don't really have any desire to use it on land. Although it might not be too bad in some iron heavy farm fields.

Nice rings, bud! Minelab strikes again!

Just think, a hot babe had those toe rings on at one moment. Or, maybe a big hairy dude with hairy toes had them on. LMFAO :D

Haha, either way I've got them now and that's all that matters.

LMFAO! I am fast, so the hairy dude wouldn't catch me. I would point to Greenwood, Indiana and state, "Big B has them!" :D

You can't escape that hair bud! You would get all tangled up and suffocate.

Then come back to this earth as a buried copper coin... just out of reach of detectors and spend eternity buried.... until some dude finds you with the latest, greatest machine at about 18" and then gets pissed off when he cleans you and finds you out to be a crummy modern arcade token.

Haha, you will get sent back as a zinc penny.... only to disappear into nothingness in 10 yrs and leave a halo there for some detectorists to get a signal from and then find nothing in the hole.... and then call you a *&$%(*&#*!

Re: Yesterday's Water Finds

I like the good luck token. I found one just like it in a early 1900's park that is all woods now. Nice finds.
