went over to the newest neighbor to complain.
He's been here about 3 Years

The front porch is filled and door blocked with Boxes.

You wouldn’t believe just how full his yard is with junk.

It was like a narrow Maze to go from the front of the house to the Back door.

then Nobody answered

I went over because of this

That is a Large pile of Cardboard Boxes in the Backround

DSCF0002.JPG

he is almost always Burning in his yard.
where I don't know :dontknow:

Seriously the whole yard and porches are covered in Boxes and Whatnot.

I'm not even sure if his fire got away from him,
and he put the cardboard pile there to hide the burn trail,
Or if he never even knew an ember blew over :BangHead:

A little Bit P.O.'d at the moment because I can't reach him yet
to find out his excuse

That is a little scary Jeff.
Does your state require, a "fire permit" number, be issued for local burns? In Georgia, they won't issue a permit number or allow burns if wind is to high, conditions too dry, etc.....
If you are unable to reach your neighbor, do you know he is ok? Could he have had a some kinda medical emergency?
If nothing more, you can call the police and request a welfare check on your neighbor, explaining his proprty seems to be all burnt up and he is no where to be found....... :dontknow:
Keep us posted and be careful.

no permits needed to burn, unless there is a temporary ban in place.
and no his place is not burned up, Just a trail leading to the pile of un-burned cardboard.
like he possibly outened his fire & buried the Evidence :dontknow:

or like I said an ember blew over it. Not much room in his yard just narrow Trails
through the hoards of stuff.

it's Monday he may be working somewhere, or getting more stuff :dontknow:

Check your zoning ordinances for storage of building materials , trash ect..

Sound's like you got a Hoarder Jeff! Check with Code Enforcement or like pat-tekker-cat say's call the Police and do a welfare check. My wife works with Hoarders they can be a pain. It' a Mental Health thing so be carefull! :BangHead::BangHead:

I don't want to get him or anyone in trouble.
actually I don't even care to know anything about Him.
But so Far I feel forced to Confront him and see what he has to Say.
It's just a matter of Finding him now .

it's a little brighter so it's obvious to me to see what happened now.

this appears to be his Burn Barrel

DSCF0003.JPG

it also looks like he Empties it My direction

the unburnt cardboard Box & the fact the black on his side i covered with unburnt Leaves
also suggests he knew he lost control of it.

no Cardboard Box this Morning that I see

DSCF0002.JPG

there now

Ever seen those masonry sound barriers along the Interstate? That side of your yard would be a good spot for one.

Yes he sounds like flee market person .. All the ones i know there yard and car or truck is filled with junk all the time...

my advice: drink lots of beer and keep your bladder full in case of emergency fire

If you don't have them now, you will have rats.

Nominate him for a Darwin Award Jeff. Let's see, ground is dry, Check! Ground is covered in dead highly flammable leaves, Check! Surrounding area is lots of small brush, most likely dead because of winter. Check! Additional flammable cardboard boxes stacked strategically around. Check! Build an unattended fire next to the neighbors place. Check! Make sure the wind is blowing towards the neighbor so it keeps the smoke away from you. Check!

DING DING DING! we have a weiner!

Call the authorities Jeff. Plain and simple.

You did the smart thing! Photo documented!:hello2: Give the Fire Marshal a call, and ask for them to do an inspection. You were lucky he got it completely out. Calling the Fire Marshal or inspector sounds like a real jerk move to some, but when it comes to losing my house to blowing embers, possibly watching his house burn down with him in it etc. I'd rather be a jerk.

....um, up your fire insurance ASAP! You have a "lose nut" as a neighbor!
You may want to consider putting a water tower in your yard.

I have the opposite neighbor problem...pool that is a swamp for almost 10 years now, told the city...(crickets chirping)...summer is fun trying to avoid the diease carrying mosquitos....trade Ya!

By the looks of that yard, it could have been spontaneous combustion :laughing7:

he's still hiding out.
last night as the first night he didn't have the porch light on.
lights inside were off and car was gone

normally I hear them every night conversing outside, as they burn and whatever.

I don't intend to go on the attack :tongue3:
I plan to ask him in a sarcastic Manner what he did, to see his manner first.

all I know of him is the other neighbor said he's an aging Hippie
so he can't be all Bad. maybe just a bit fried.

If I were going to believe in Ghosts & Haunting's,
that house would be the first place I would believe it of.

The old Lady (B)(w)itch who lived there the longest was not very friendly
to anyone. kids had to fear walking in front of her home on the walking path.
after she died the house sat empty for years, Then 2 families went through in one year.
just disappeared as fast as they came.
then it sat empty for awhile and a young couple moved in.
Within a Month the Husband died in a car crash,
she moved out & house sat for years in her name till she lost it. then someone bought it to Flip it.

After that this guy moved in with his Wife.
tax site says The Tyson Group owns it unless of course his name is Tyson Group
or group tyson a

I think you should attempt to speak with him first , and if he seems reasonable - you can get the behavioral changes you seek , If you can't seem to
find him , or if he seems unreasonable - you should call the fire officials in your area and find out what they can do to assist you .
