Where do I begin on this bad boy? I have permission to hunt the grounds but it is all swampy ravine and black berry vines. I want to find the bottle dump! Where would you look?

Myself and I'm no expert ,I'd be doing a search for broken glass or bottles laying on the surface.I'd be raking the surface looking for a concentration of broken glass and hopefully let it lead me to the dump.

Cool old house. What age do you think it is? Stilted, it appears? I'm assuming no back door on that one. I'm also assuming no plumbing...

First place, I'd look would be under the house. If there's an unseen side door, I'd look that way next.

Blackberry season is fast approaching, is it not? Don't pick em after Old Michaelmas Day.

July was too hot and not enough rain so the berries are not as good and big as they usually are....the rabbits seem to like them however. The house is one of those "zero" year builds on tax roles....built before such things as permits existed in the county. Yep, stilted on a no perk property so I am thinking even a privy would be a possibility. The cabin is most likely from the teens or very late 1800's given the history of the land and the other bottles I have found here. I got the itch pretty bad on this one.

Yeah definitely down hill... and if it were on more level ground, I'd say to look down wind 30-50 feet...there's always a dominant wind direction, and no one wants to smell their trash, so... and if there's water-down the ravine, presumably, you'll probably do well there.

First of all,I'd bring a rake and or a blower,to move the leafs off the ground,next walk about 50 paces in all direction from the house and you should find a dump(s).

I need to add a little something,if you rake or blow the leaves off of your fines,be sure to put the leaves back on.I made this mistake years ago on a piece of land that I had permission to MD and bottle hunt on.I raked the leaves off to one side and dug out bottles for about half a day,it started to rain so I left,didn't get back for a couple of days & when I got back the site had been hunted out even more.The owner said I was the only one he let on,but the bottle area is by a creek so someone came up from the creek.The one thing that was kind of weird was the other hunters left me a Thank-You card and they left behind some good shovels.
