There are so many variables and sordid potentials.......

I am not sure if I would be able to identify any single find that lends "seasoned" status, but the vacant and hopeless stare along with a ragged stance/clothing certainly help.

You can tell the people that have been around the block by the fact that they look like they have been around the block. Exhibit A is the fact that my avatar picture was taken of me when I was 12.

Do you still have the cat?

Your test garden to move it to a better location,

I have a brand new twist - not to metal detecting, but to panning - when I should have been metal detecting, I guess.

Took a couple of hours off to do a little panning - and low and behold, I DID get something in the pan. A 1952 penny is what I managed to
"pan down" in my gold pan - :icon_scratch: Guess I should have used the metal detector :dontknow:

............ A nice strong GOLD signal in the river, you dig for 30 minutes, fighting the current and wash-ins....... only to find it was a 1/16 oz split-shot fishing weight! >:(

A slightly rusted Springfield 1911, .45 ACP... with 3 rounds in the mag, one still in the pipe... at the bottom of a river under a bridge.

Figured i'd call the cops on that one... even though the .45 was really nice

Any chance you will get that back spez?
After all the forensic stuff of course.
Gosh, maybe they could swap you one from their confiscated pile.
