I had to check about 700-800 98-00's and got it on my 10th to last coin.
Argg! I'm almost 3,000 '98-'00s in, and no '99 yet. GREAT find; finding a '99 WAM is my #1 cent goal for 2012.
Nice find! What part of the country are you in? I live out west and P mint varieties are virtually impossible to find here since most of our coins are from Denver. Too bad, cuz nearly all the good ones ('72, '83, '84 dbl dies, most Close/Wide AMs) are P mint. I did manage to score a '72 about 25 years ago. It must have hitchhiked it's way out west in someone's pocket or purse.
Oh no, I've searched probably 15,000 98's-00's for the WAMs it was just the 700-800 batch I had. It was major goal for 2012 never got it until a few days ago, then got this one today!

I don't know if this makes me feel better, or not![]()
I know grade matters a lot but are these wide AMs worth a pretty penny?
Coppercrazy said:Yes they are. The 99's at least
Awesome! Isn't that two back to back for you?
What's your workflow for selling copper? Or do you just hoard? Thinking of starting to fill a Home Depot bucket but want to think out the process. I've seen folks sell and ship those prepaid USPS boxes by weight. Curious what folks do. Thanks! HH
