I was heading out to see a friend the other day and driving through a near by town. Stopping at a traffic light I'm looking out the passenger side window at a pile of dirt. Must have been a under ground utility line repair . We had some really heavy rain the night before 3/4/ of an inch in 20 mins. I thought I was seeing things. Looks like the neck of a bottle? The guy blows the horn behind me because the light was green so I drive away. A couple blocks down I'm thinking.. If I go back its going to be broken, if I don't I'll never know. So I turned around and went to see. Pulling into the Hess gas station, now the sun light is just right almost looks green! Please be whole! Mind you I'm only looking at about an 1 1/2 inches of the neck sticking out of the side of a pile of dirt. pulling it out I realize its not broken Holy Its all there!!!!!!!!!!! Its a Congress & Empire Spring Co. Mineral water bottle Saratoga N.Y. The color is a forest green. Quick rinse at my friends and an hour of cleaning the next day here is the results . Incredible what you might find at a traffic light!=ED

Did you poke around the rest of the dirt to see if there was anything else?

There was a lot of broken glass and pottery , nothing was whole. I've got about ten different guys on separate crews I know that keep a look out for me .Nobody new of this one ! Most of them know were I am on Friday after noon.... as we get into summer more digging goes on . To them its like Friday bonus money because I'll give them cash-and there wife doesn't know about it!!!

Many years ago,a friend and me were driving down the gulch to go diggin,,,, I'm looking out the window,,, see a green bottle layin in a horse pasture with 4 horses standing all around it,,,,we drive about another mile,, turn around please, that bottle was a little odd color of green,, jump the fence,walk over to the horses, and pick up an old teal green monogramed "JSP" bottle. Congrats !!!!! on your Saratoga find . It sure is purty !!!
