I recently saw a post talking about the 1998, 99, 2000 Wide A&M pennies.

now I'm a freakin man possessed now!

Youz guyz have checkin' ALLLLL my pennies now.

And I think I scored one!
I don't even know what the darn thing is WORTH. I'm just happy to have found one (I think!)

IIRC...it was a 2000.

I have a son in kindergarten and they're gearing up to celebrate the 100th day of kindergarten. The students were tasked with brining in 100ea of anything small-ish....macaroni noodles, buttons, hair barrettes, etc...
He wanted to bring in pennies.

Well, my grandmother-in-law (passed away in 2004) used to always give us $5 worth of pennies in rolls from her local bank. I've got thousands of them. And I've never really rifled through them to check for wheats or anything.
Well, this was as good a reason as any to take a peek.
3 penny rolls yielded a 1955 wheat and about 30 1998-2000 pennies. In that, there was just this one WAM.

He found the whole experience pretty fun.
So off to school he went today with his hunnerd pennies in a pouch!

You are very lucky to find a WAM after just three rolls. My wife works at a bank and I buy the $50 bag of pennies from the coin counting machine everytime it gets full. I haven't found a WAM in three bags! (15,000 coins) Found a bunch of wheats though.

Have found a few W-AM's in the past. 2000 and 1998 are fairly common. The ones to look for is the 1999 W-AM and the 1992 C-AM (close). Thats the ones that are worth quite a bit. $400-500 in AU shape.

I made a Very Long Rambling Post with lot's of Pic's this morning but it didn't take, mostly because I'm computer dumb. So now I'm just going to post pic's and see if I can get some comments. Your 1955 looks like it may be a double-die.

The 89 looks like a die crack, I have found three that look like the might be a double die on the date, but I am not sure if it is just a die shift or not. The 55 looks like the poor mans double die, & the others look to be post mint damage. Nice finds either way.

Well I Aprreciate the Feedback or Your Thoughts, they're better coming from a Person than a book, though I have a few books on the subject, but I don't like really collect pennys and small change per say, yet I do have more than enough pennies to go around, I recieved a gift of sorts from a Older Fella that I did some favors for back in the 1980's and he rewarded me with 2 Demijohns full of coins, mostly pennies I think, but don't really know since I have never opened them but can see alot of Silver (Dollars I think). The ones I posted here just came from some of the Fruit Jars of Pennys I have from everyday life from the early sixties on. I'm doing a little catch up on this study while the weather has mostly turned to rain and it's hard to get to the mountains to do some prospectin'. Here's a few more I found over the weekend out of one fruitjar...Darrell
