Iv really been getting into different locks lately because Iv found a few different ones here and there that got me interested in how many variations of locks there really are throughout history. So let's see everyone's best locks! Here's mine

Not my best....I don't think anyway. Trying to find use and date on these. Both are very small. Iron part is rusted away on larger one and the smaller one met the plow or similar fate. Dug both today.

Can you post a picture of the sides? Is there any way for it to connect to something or even a spot where it could have been soldered to something. Iv never seen a lock like that that's interesting

Maybe it was on a necklace or something

They are plain on the sides. Just a padlock with the iron shackle rusted away. The smaller one probably got nailed by a plow.

Here is a more traditional looking one that is also very small

I really like this one for some reason. I'm guessing maybe for a diary or a jewelry box? The monogramed logo on it is "S&CO" it didn't show very well on my phone camera.

rainbow gold (2).webpU S Lock (6).webphere is the one I found this Summer in the water

Hopefully not my "all time" best lock but much appreciated none the less. A crusty old six-lever padlock that I soaked in vinegar for a week to make presentable. Unable to decipher the hallmark due to corrosion. Found at the sight of an old blacksmith's shop in the Ozarks. Happy Hunting, Sub
