Your Goal/Biggest accomplishment with CRH'ing proceeds.

Hello all, I have been thinking lately about a good solid goal to keep me focused and on track so I can build my stack CRH'ing. I came up with one about a week ago that I still havent committed to yet. I thought about how cool it would be to CRH until I had a stack that I could use to literally buy a house. Now, I think the reason I havent committed to that YET, is because it seems like a pretty extreme goal. Im still working it out in my mind, something like that could take 10, 20 or 30 years for that matter. Depending on the variables that affect this hobby... Not to mention the price of Real Estate, the Spot priced of Silver, once you have enough built up... etc.

So, Once I was thinking about this goal, I thought, I wonder what types of accomplishments some of you veteran "T-Net'rs" could share with the rest of us? I remember someone when I first joined this site, was talking about how she paid for her daughters wedding with her proceeds from CRH'ing...

Anyone else care to share? I would love to hear them...

My goal is to just have FUN doing something I love to do. The material things are nice but you can't take them with you when you're gone - well you might could but some GDCH (Grave Diggin Coin Hunter) would dig you up and take them. lol

Everyone has some big and small goals that all mean something to each of you. Some are attainable and I think some are a stretch but remember...HAVE FUN!!!

Finsihed my Lincoln Cent collection by purchasing the 1909 S VDB (didn't think I'd ever find one CRH). I also have a great start on my large cent collection.

Well i keep telling my wife that i am just working on an early retirement. it never hurts to try any way i am only 23 so i have along way to go before retirement but my plan is to retire in my mid 40's. oh just so you guys know it wount happen for me anyways from CRHing but it helps. i calculated it out and i am just barely able to stockpile in as much silver value as the GOVERNMENT is taking out of my paycheck so i guess i cant complain. But i do need to go out and get some more guns and ammo.

My goals are to make my silver pile bigger and to complete my penny collection. I'm searching mostly pennies and halves. I use the copper from the penny searching to buy silver. BTW I stocked up on guns and ammo years ago. I'm an armed and dangerous man.

Keep me off the streets and out of the bars. My wife just finished her MBA and I realized now that she's home every evening that I need a hobby.

Also, get as much silver as I can and melt them down into shotgun slugs. We all know that silver slugs are the only way kill zombies. The zombie appocolypse is coming!

^ I load my shotgun with about 10 dimes. You get a better spread and take out more zombies that way.

Interesting concept...I'll have to try that with clad dimes to see what kind of damage that can do.

I bought this with the money I saved up by crhing. Remember as you start to build your money roll its all money you can spend. I started this hobby as a way to save money by always wanting to do more but after the 8 or so years of doing this I've found a little of the white stuff. 8)

I dumped all the proceeds into my business.
I expanded my precious metals refining capacity. Net worked with others to buy what they had, and marketed back product people wanted to invest in, be it coins, bullion bars or jewelry.
No matter what the price is, I always buy,
Gave people fair and competitive rates and no matter what the price did up or down, stuck to my guns with buying and selling of product.

Had I just kept it all. id be sitting on a nice pile of silver that may be worth about $25-40k or so now. Ok, not bad but not life changing.
Instead. I sold it at what ever the market was, used the profits to buy other things and rolled with the prices and upped the volume.

Now, I am not just me but an organization of a few. and now we do multi millions in business. when you work on a %2 to %15 margin of profit and do a million. Thats about 70k a year in profit on average per million in business done. Add that to the increase in price of inventory and the fact that we make product that sells for more than the bullion value. It adds up fast.

Some on here said it was a bad thing for me to sell my 90% back when it was 12x face. but I reinvested that money in myself and grew. Bought more for %50 to %10 less from others and rolled it over and over and over.
Bottom line. when it comes to having a 40k pile of silver buried in the back yard or a business pulling in six figures in profit and a big pile of gold and silver to boot that is changing all the time...dealing is the way to go.
in 2008 I was barely making it by when the rescission hit 3 years later business is booming because we got into the PMs market while treating people fair...and word got around. Growth has been so good we bought a warehouse and expanded even more.

Granted this is not for everyone. And of course it takes years of knowledge and skill sets to do what I do but the turn around and redirection has been great!

sadly, I only CRH maybe once every few months now...too darn busy. its only because I got one great box a couple weeks back and I missed posting on the form that I am back.

The only things I saved from the early days of CHR is a roll of better 90% coins, the two rolls of dimes as they were such hard work to find and a roll of the barbers and walkers, an album I nearly filled from CHR finds, and a couple rolls of 40s that were nice or were 1970 %40s etc. The rest got melted, re sold etc. And I am glad for it.

I'm now shooting for a thousand by November 30. Right now I'm at 884.

Wow, I'm astonished by some of the accomplishments of y'all. I'm just a newbie at this by comparison to many of you who have been doing this for a while. I did just tally up my finds and I have managed to get almost a roll of 90% halves and just shy of 10 rolls of 40%ers thanks to a couple of amazing finds at some local banks. So it's nothing to sneeze at, but it will be a while before I even start thinking about anything lofty.

So for now it's just fun -- an obsession for myself and something to share with my family from time to time. (Fortunately my wife is OK with stopping at banks along the way when we do road trips, as long as we don't overdo it. And my kids are great at helping to look through the rolls we have found....)

I average anywhere from 6-8 dime boxes a week. Sometimes more....I did 12 boxes last week. I spread my dumps out among a few free coin counters in my area.

I'm Buying land,guns,water,food and ammo.The way the government is spending money we don't have we will soon fall off a cliff as a nation.Gold and silver are the only hedges to protect against inflation and the demise of our dollar.It's not a matter of if but when.China has us in a corner,they can call in our debt or just stop buying our debt and were toast....Sorry about the doom and gloom but it's reality.

First off, I am a coin collector. Any silver coin I do not have will never be melted down/sold, but kept. I Have a few silvers, some repeat dates. I am thinking on keeping 1 of each date/mint mark and selling the rest(lower grade). Since 50 cents or less isn't hurting my pocket, it's no big deal to sell. What I plan on selling will be the remainder silver coins I do not like/need for my personal collection. I plan on buying gold with the silver I find. Personally, I would sell all my silver now and hope that silver does not go up, but for now I am holding on to my silver until silver reaches close to $50/oz. I will put that money aside and buy gold when the market lowers. Nothing like CRH'ing for gold, if you know what I mean!

My goal was to hit $1000 when I started in May. I achieved it in my first 2 1/2 months of hunting...much quicker than I had anticipated.

MY NEW GOAL NOW:
$1000 in JUST dimes @ $3.00/dime (only 95 more to go $283.)

After that, stop with the dimes, and just concentrate on halves, until I hit $1000 with them.

Then re-evaluate my options from there, cash in, to build to the bankroll?? would be about 8 more boxes of halves per week, who knows....I dont like the thought of cashing in but I think I can make more if I do. I'll see when I get there.
