Zeros CRH LOG

Got one lone silver 40% in the last roll of my second box. It's a lot better than a skunk.

It's always nice finding at least one, esp when its at the very end and you're pretty sure you're gonna get skunked. I still have a couple of boxes left to search but so far my whole week has been one big skunk. Hopefully there's better boxes ahead for both of us soon.

Sorry for the slow times. Keep up the search and a big score will come.

Happy hunting,

Steven

The slow times continue, but we did find a silver dime.

It's sure been slow times for me too lately. Out of my last 10 boxes I've only found 2 x 40% and they were side by side in the same roll - go figure. So the past couple of weeks I've reluctantly relocated from Silverville to Skunksville. But I've found about 70 ozt of silver so far this year so its been a good year overall and I cant complain. And I still have 2 boxes from last Thursday to search so maybe I can find a little silver from those boxes.

Hope we both have better luck in August and finish the year with nice piles of silver.

I had a nice box with my first Wender and the 1942 walker is in great shape. I also found a 1947 Balboa which is cool.

Congrats on the good boxes and your first Wender. A nice ratio of 90%/40% and that Walker looks like a beauty too.

Brinks half box #73: 6-40% plus several clad S-mints. Two firsts for me are a 1987S and a 1968S. I didn't realize they made either one.

I've got another box to go through this weekend.

Congrats on the finds - esp the '68S. I found two '68S in a box earlier this year myself. 1968 was the first year of the S mint mark proof halves. Good look with your other box.

You can't get silver in every box. I'm happy with the 6 silvers in my other box this week. Just keep on rolling!

A little bit of silver to add to the stack. I gotta just keep on rolling.

Well 2 Rosie's from just 10 dime rolls is sure great results. I didn't have much luck with my half boxes last week either but I've still got a couple of boxes to finish this wknd so maybe I can still find a little something more to finish the month.

I've been into this hobby just long enough to realize that persistence is everything, and the skunks just make the nice finds that much sweeter. I think you are smart to search dimes along with halves. With dimes the finds are less impressive overall, but dimes seem to be very consistent. Seems like I never get skunked on dimes if I search at least $500. Just a little silver per week is enough to keep me going.

Some nice finds, esp from just $1100 or so. I bet finding that Walker in that cwr sure was a nice surprise. I've only searched about half of my 5 boxes from this week and so far no silver. Hopefully the best is saved for last.

With the kind of volume you are searching, I'll bet it's very rare you get skunked. I search four boxes of halves per week, and I have yet to get skunked on all four boxes. In this hobby, volume seems to be the best guarantee of success.

Good luck...I'm nearing the same number of ounces I had last year. So, it looks like I will at least improve over last years haul. I am also at 499 silver coins...just one more!

If you continue at that same pace, you'll end the year with close to 700 coins--phenomenal. That nearly a two silvers per day average. Sweet.

I had a nice 1.8% half box yesterday.

Things had really slowed down lately, so this is a nice change of pace. My current system seems stable (no bank manager frowns or conversations for several months now), but I am at a lower volume. I don't miss those skunky Garda boxes I use to order. Brinks has been pretty consistent for me. Got to keep on rolling!

Actually, I am only at 291 silver coins for the year with a total of 517 over the last 20 months (that's how long I've been CRH). So, I'm hoping to keep a silver per day average this year which is better than my pace last year. My volume has gone up but is currently down at $1000 a week. The dumping situation is tough where I live.

Keep on rolling!
