Maybe you could tell if the 1976-S is silver by doing a drop test and comparing the sound to one of the burned clad coins. Do the burned silver coins still have the familiar silver clank? or did the heat alter the sound?

Holy cow! Those are the kind of rolls we all dream about. I have read that back in the sixties, halves weren't even getting into circulation because people were hoarding them for the silver. You just stumbled upon one of those old hoards. It's nice to know they're still out there.Jackpottttt! 6 solid rolls plus 8 more 40%.

Unbelievable...just when you are feeling sorry for yourself...happy days are here again! That's more than double my next biggest jackpot.
Thanks avago...the dream cwr made up for all the forgotten orders (the holidays messed them up).
My first box of February came in on-time and produced 2-40%. It's always nice to confirm that Brinks is not culling.
I used to think Loomis was culling silver. Their boxes just didn't seem to produce. But then I had several nice boxes--a nice halves box, and some nice dime and nickel boxes--even a few silver quarters--an I decided the alleged armored car companies culling of silver stories were just urban legend. My Brinks boxes have always been good too.
Killer month! I'll feel fortunate to get that much silver in the entire year. Sweet.
