Don't care what you say, I didn't want silver anyway!

Today looks like it was my last day out so I have gone the entire year without a single silver coin. Anyone want to buy an Explorer SE? :tongue3:

But we did find a new site and had a fun day. Misc Relics, 1812 halfpenny token, Halifax token, 1710-1713 French Deniers, and two TLV British military buttons.

No worries there. I have a nice little stock pile, I'll get it next year.

Not many people can say they had an exceptional year without finding silver, but you can! I am sure once the drought ends, the silver flood gates will overspill.:icon_thumright:

We gave it our best shot today at putting some silver in our pouches, but it hardly goes that way sometimes. I just can't believe it held up all year! I know you'll break out big time next year

I haven't found a silver in over a month but did find my oldest coin two days in a row 1834 lc on sat then on Sunday I beat that with a 1828 U.S. half cent. That was a lot better than a silver Rosie or barber in my opinion. I hope to get back on that site Sunday and find more and maybe uncover a seated silver but I'll be ok with bringing the large cents and half cent back to the light. Nice finds.

Silver is over rated. Finding base metal coins and relics could be just as rewarding if not more so. I'd rather find some colonial coppers than 20th century silver coins. Some old musket balls would be nice too, never found one in my entire life - I thought I did once - but it was just a dirty marble. =P

Hey man you're just saving up for a stunner! Nice old buttons do t suck either and some early coppers ain't too shabby. You'll get on a great site in the spring after scheming all winter

You get in rite spot the musket balls will come out. I have found 11 on the site I found the old coppers. I'm still wanting to find civil war bullets but no civil war battles in my area. A few Indian war battles and one revolutionary war battle. Relics and old coins are my favorite. If I want a silver coin I just go to fairgrounds or old parks in my area.

I'm getting ready to go to bed but have been researching old sites on a 1879 plat map for last hour lol. I think my wife is use to it now. Been working a lot and working Saturday this week so it's looking like a Sunday hunt is in order.

Nothing wrong with those finds IP. All those silver coins are in hibernation waiting to be unleashed next spring.

Now that is a shame they did that.:dontknow:

Silver's kind of funny. . . It'll find you when you least expect it.

I'm with UnderMiner on this one. . . your colonial recoveries this year are a force to be reckoned with

With finds like that you don't need any silver....8-)

It seems like I remember you making the banner swinging your Ace 250... Maybe it's time to get it out again! :laughing9:

Sweet finds, looks like a promising site for sure!

TLV? T? Loyal Volunteers?? Not seen this button before.

That was the last day I dug a silver coin!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I can understand you being frustrated but with the great finds you make, I wouldn't get too upset about the lack of silver, well I guess that's easy to say if not felt from your point of view, you had a great year, you just saved yourself for a capped bust half next year!

That's what makes the most sense to me too. This is my 4th and 5th, Ironhorse has dug two, and I've never seen one found in the UK.... but it would be very unlikely it is from anywhere else.
