:icon_scratch: Thanks but, no thanks I'll pass. :read2:

Nice find for sure. As a rule I don't pay for coins...I just dig them.

It is nice to see some posts from our neighbors to the South!

You're probably aware that the coin image posted differs from the coin in the first reference above.
Your coin appears to be a Carlos and Joana Second Series coin with an "O" for the assayer, more like Nesmith 108b, or 104c, or 96a. NWS, yours is still a great coin image from the period 1542-1555.
I believe water waves below the columns first appeared in 1542 so your coin would not be in the First Series, beginning in 1536.........just my opinion.
Don.......

I would have asked for a price, but it looks like it was cleaned a little too aggressively for my taste. It's a heck of a find though, probably my favorite Spanish designed coin.

I just used my fingers to clean the black patina thats usually comes with the silver...nothing else..Thank for the comment. About the price I dont really know but this same coin was bid 2009 for $400 dlls.... you can see some facts here...

Might be just the picture then.

The thing about reales is the very high grade ones get some good bucks but then they really drop off.
