Well.. this was a surprise.
I almost never hunt for recent drops in dry sand.
Conditions have been poor for finding old items on the beach here on the Treasure Coast so I gave it a shot early this morning after a warm sunny weekend.
It sure takes patients scooping up junk..and more junk...and..
10k the CAL had me confused at first but it appears to be a company name "California Links"
I also found a ring down closer to the water.

Thanks guys.. I suppose I'll stop by a Jewler tomorrow about the stone.
I looked at it under magnification and it has tiny inclusions so I don't think it's glass.

Nice find Gator, guess we went to different areas today, only saw one detectorist and he bailed pretty quick. Hope to run into you sometime.

Thanks Ya'll ... I went to a beach I normally never go to... since I actually decided to target new drops.
You'll hardly ever see me at a busy beach.
I was in Martin County.

Don't have much luck at Stuart beach lately, Jensen has treated me well this week. Was up at pepper park this morning.

Nice place to at least get the barrier from the waves. Pretty amazed how much sand has moved into that north side in front of he houses over the past month. 6 rings at Jensen this week 3 crap rest silver all low tide of we can call it that on the cusp of the drop

I know... it's been really bad.
I did manage to find a ship spike not long ago.. right in that low "swash" area right at the edge of the drop.
A good cold front is on the way later in the week..things should get better.
I'm Sooooo happy the north winds are starting.

You have any local jewelers who melt and can wrap a tooth with said melt?

Seems like the cooler the ring the less likely it is to be precious metal. Man I dig the left one. These are from last night

Unique find, GatorBoy. I would be inclined to hold onto those gold boxing gloves.
