Wow! Very cool Terry! Thanks for sharing. I’ve read that European coins were used during early days in America (Irish, Spanish) when US mintage coins either didn’t exist or were just getting started. Anyway, I still can’t believe it! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to beat this date here in NY.

I always vote Banner when I see something I'd see as something I would never expect.

Very cool, interesting and unique coin. Never seen one. I figured this was going to be found in Europe. I have no idea about the rarity of this coin but I think the cool factor of the coin and place found (NY) should give this some consideration for banner. Well done!
