Little afternoon hunt to old faithful, This place has never let me down!!
I have had about 5 different guys from T,net come with me to this place over the last year, and it keeps putting out..
Not the kind of place you just walk and swing, it takes alot of patience, and listening, just wiggle the coil there is so much iron. .
Not the kind of place for a newbie. Lol.
There has been about 30coppers, lots of silver, from my cut 4reale ,capped bust silver, seated, and old dudes 1804 shilling come out of a 30 by 100 foot area amazing. .There is still ton of targets there..
Anyway just wanted to put that out there, a great spot is never hunted out, just need patients. .lol.
Well enjoy the picks..
Ps dont know what they were trying to do to that poor old jersey copper ??
I can just make out the shield on it.
( sorry Don..lol.)
George

Thanks Bill,
You should take a ride up and show me how to sift this site..
There is so much iron masking the good targets. .
I can imagine what hiding??

George... I have a nice 4 tier sifter that would work great on sifting finds and problem Iron target from just about any soil. With all of the digging you and your MD'ing buddies have done there, it should be a breeze to shovel the dirt onto the sifter and see what shows up.

George's chain cent is somewhere in that iron. I may have heard the rattle of chains on my headphones on one of my sweeps....

I would like to see the front area screened the most, and then the area the where the 1/2 real was found.

You are welcome George! If you need a pic of mine to know how to build a nice one, I can assemble mine, take pics and PM or post them. I just have to locate all of the bolts and wing nuts or purchase new ones and I am set! I used mine many times at the Ray Mica Mine just outside of Burnsville, North Carolina to sift the tailing piles from the mine to find Aquamarine specimens and used it once at the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas looking for Diamonds. It is best to sift onto a tarp, so that you don't fill the ground back up with sifted soil before you metal detect. Once you have sifted the soil of the Iron...other metals and whatnot out and you have metal detected the holes thoroughly and removed any good targets, just dump the soil on the tarp back into the holes and all is done and cleaned up.

Nah not that cut 4 real! The place where I think you said Old Dude found the silver, by that front tree. Lots of iron there and where I got that old Iron key. I forgot your trime came from where you found that cut 4 real. Def try there too. Did I mention that cut 4 real? Lol

Nice finds once again, Vino!

And the rest of you must have been stuck inside due to rain unable to hunt or something to have time to hammer on each other like that! LOL :laughing9:
