Hi there, not really too clued up on coins so looking for a little info on this, from what I can make out its a George 111 halfpenny and the date looks like 1783, also read in a couple of places about this date its likely a counterfeit coin?

Apples and oranges. That is a totally different coin, but what the poster has is quite good.
