Found in Ky. Only 2 inches down. This is my first post. Will post pictures when I figure out how.only have a dumb phone. Had no clue what I just found, called friend to google it.,said its rare and valuable.the bad news is has two deep pits in it .......February 28. Have not posted again after getting slammed 4 times hunting graveyard.the coin was found several feet from a grave. I am native american and I see a huge difference digging a 3 in. hole and the looters digging 250 Indian graves near Uniontown,Ky. Leaving the graves open and bones on top of ground. Contact Mr. Peabody Coal and ask him why he dug hundreds, probably thousands of Indian graves and deposited in a spoil bank. The shovel operators were told if they saw bones keep on stripping so they would not be shut down for days. I will post a pic when able

Pic, pic, pic, what's the matter with you guys!?!? If they want/can post one, they will.

I remember what they look like. Had to be just before my birthday though. ;)

I'm VERY impressed by anyone who can find one of these! Might be nice to see, but, I leave that to them.

LOL

That is a truly Rare and Historic find Amigo - Even in lousy condition the more common varieties could easily be $1000. and if you have the less common one double it !!! I can't say anything about pictures - because in my several years on T-net I have never put up a pic - (I aim to this year !) If there is a chance that a friend could help you get an image up , I know we all would love to see this ! Great Find ! probably once in a lifetime rarity - less of these show up than G.W. buttons by far !

( The Graveyard bit is problematic ! - and deep pits are not good either ! )

Guys really. There are members who make terrific finds on a regular basis, and are lucky to get five replies.

Everyone in this thread should know our rules, if the insults and attacks don't stop the timeouts will begin....

Jerry never said where he found coin; he could have found the coin in an outer area that is no where near any graves, lots of cemeteries have a lot of land on outer areas of a cemetery.....

While pictures are always nice they are NOT required to post on TN and Jerry said he was trying to figure out how to post pictures, there are many members here who had trouble posting pictures when they first started posting on TN...

Attacking a new member is not cool at all....

Seems like the subject has gone off track, and in 5 pages I have not seen a post by One Eyed Jerry or a picture of a 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar. :dontknow:

started scrolling down looking for pics, but then my brain started working and realized he only had one post, so the pics can't be posted yet

This is today's find forum, topic is one eye jack's coin. Topic is not about hunting grave yards..

No attacks or insults..

you can look under our Help section if necessary

And, like me, he might be "computer illiterate". (lol) When I started my thread, I attempted to come back in and add to it a few hours later. Got totally frustrated trying to find it again. I think it took me a couple of days before I found it, then I had to figure out how to subscribe to it so that I could get back in. (Actually, someone sent me a pm and guided me to the way to subscribe). (lol)

The main problem is that he might have read some of the posts and decided he didn't want any more ridicule.

Nice! Congrats! I can't post pics yet either!

I have found that if your pic wont upload(red X),try renameing the pic on your computer then try again, for some reason my comment about agreeing with 70monte68 has been removed
