Went back over to the farm were I found the other coins the other day..And this time I told the owner I want a few things this time..And I would pick what I wanted...He agreed..So I went detecting. .Same spot as last time..in about 10 min 1 foot away from the other half cents I found this time I pulled a 1802 half cent...its a shame its not the 1800 back..But ill take it!!!! The only made like 20.000 of these...and its in great shape...could be worth a nice amount. .also found what I think is another william and mary??? And this cool flat button..It looks like the shank broke and they put 2holes in it and sewed it back on...Thats cool...Waste nothing back then...and last I believe is a tompack button???? Thanks for looking...oh ps..I believe I made out this time...I did show the owner everything. .just didn't give him the option. ..lol...HH..
George...

The draped bust sure is a beauty - great find Vino!

Amazing find Vino! Congrats.

The coin looks great & nice to see a 18th C Dandy Button being re-used, I've never had that!

Absolutely GREAT find! Great condition, very low mintage- I'm sure you've already gotten the instructions for checking the reverse variety. I've found 2 half cents- combined they don't add up to as nice a condition as yours is.

Congrats!!

Not only did you find a draped bust half cent, you found a really nice one for a ground find. Color me jealous. Way to go! Banner vote here.

Man that HC is in great shape, congrats,
Can anyone place an aproximate value on this half cent?

ZDD, I'm claiming two to five thousand, maybe upwards of that? It always boils down to the same thing, its only worth what you get for it. The thing about George's Half is, it is in way better shape then any of the ones I have seen pix of, look at this one on the NGC website compared to Vino's

Congrats on the stunning 1802 half cent and the beautiful tombac!

$2-5K for a copper and I have gold coins that don't come near that value. In this case I do declare that this ol copper is Banner worthy. Congrats on one killer copper.
I will have to go through my vote in for ya now, good luck,

I think this one Iam going to send this one in to get graded...

What is the extra metal I see between the "IC"?? A cud? I also believe that Vinos coin is an early die state as the HALF CENT is very sharp.
