Detector(s) used
Minelab Equinox 600 XP Deus
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
The detecting gods were with me again tonight after a rough start. Went back to see if I could find another cob but my scoop handle broke on my second target:BangHead: Figured it was pay back for last nights good luck. I decided to paddle to another area Ive never hunted were I could detect in ankle deep water. Only keeper was my first ever Capped Bust half dime. :headbang: and only my second capped bust ever.

Nice coin find. Congratulations :icon_thumright:

You are coming out of the 2020 gate a swinging. I bet you have a fantastic year of finds coming at this rate. Great job:thumbsup:

You are a true blue treasure hunter and have the goods to back it up. Keep rippin all those cool finds outta the dirt my friend gonna be a good year..... Tommy

Well you have me beat by a large margin on cobs (I have 2) and seated silver (I have 4), but at least I'm right there with you on capped bust silver. I have an 1827 dime and I also have an 1830 half dime. And I'm sure I got you on draped bust silver with two dimes. But who's keeping score anyway :laughing7:

Congrats, on the back to back bucket listers :icon_thumleft:

Nicely done. Still looking for my first. Congrats to you!

Thanks. Ive probably got more cobs than most anyone outside of the most seasoned SE Va hunters. My bucketlist is getting smaller and smaller but Id really like to get a colonial gold coin or an early hammered or milled English silver but having found a tree shilling, Im cool if I never get them. I dont forsee getting an early US silver as I have a hard time even finding early US coppers

Anyone have a picture of what that looks like cleaned so I have an idea?

She's dirty and grungy, worn and faded.
I'd still be proud and honored to take her home to meet the parents!
Kudos!

Still on my list.

Wow! Great two hunts in a row for awesome old silver! Big congrats on your first Capped Bust Half Dime! I lucked up on an 1830 half dime this week as well. Crazy how big a thrill it is to find such a tiny coin. Keep digging that old silver!
