I never get bored hunting my yard when I have a bit of extra time, and am always surprised at what turns up even after exploring much of the land. Thinking it was another gunshot shell I was happy to be wrong and dig an Indian head penny. I learned there were 3 different versions minted in that year. I don’t know which version this is..copper-nickel or bronze and it does not look like there is an ”L” inscribed. It weighs 2.85 grams. I used toothpicks and Andres pencils to clean it, otherwise it looked like a gob of dirt. Glad to share my story with folks who are interested!

sweet coin, just goes to prove that you never know what is in the ground. relics are always cool too as you see a tiny bit of the past revealed.

Nice IHP save. Congrats

Nice recovery on the IHP, and better from your own yard, nice relics also, congratulations

Nice....great job cleaning. I love it.
