I found my first silver half, layered (or Cloaked) in tar. Unfortunately, It's not so photogenic right now.
My site, now a bus stop, was a train station. This site, to date has produced NO CLAD whatsoever. Which surprised me. My first find was a 1941 Merc, then this half, then a 1918s Wheatie. This is an incredibly trashy site, but not the typical trash, IRON, Steel and such. High tones everywhere.

I'm flabbergasted having found this Seated Half. I didn't expect it.

I certainly hope this site has more surprises, cause it's gonna be real hard to beat my 1864 Seated Half.

Thanks for sharing my Joy.

Yes, and one like you found in 09 would certainly make me smile from ear to ear. :-)

Awesome seated half. I'm always surprised when a half dollar comes up. My machine gives me half dollar signals all the time....usually a big piece of aluminium..although I've been lucky enough to dig 5 halves so far this year... You've got a great one there for sure. Congrats!

The only time in the past that I remember seeing a good 50 cent signal on my MXT Pro, I found two quarters in the whole and figured it was adding the quarters.:-) That happened twice. I was expecting the same this time as well. I'm sure happy with the results.

SWEET !!! Great find ! Hope it has friends back at that site . Congrats

Awesome Find! Wow! Largest Seated I've found has been dimes. Hope to get one like yours someday! Congrats!

What a great coin, big old silver. Congrat.

Certainly a moment to savor. I've dug three in 22 years, and I only dig sites that are Civil War era or earlier. First one dug in 1993, second one in 2009, and third one this year.

Congrats,

Buck

It sure looks great to me! Interesting there is no clad... Hope that trend continues for you!

Awesome man! One day, one day... Congrats
