snow sucks glad you got out that is a sweeeeeet find dont see many of those great post thats a banner in my world my turn next lol

Thanks. I'll probably never find another..but I'm happy to have this one.

Awesome, put a chain on it and wear it again
Never know where that dollar has been. Way cool.

naw dont do that. maybe you could take a picture of it and laminate it and make a badge and wear it where ever you go.

Before some of you start the banner campaign, this is a 2+ year old thread.....

Damn shame that invalidates the find. [emoji853]

You did good, too bad there is a hole in the coin. Good hunting and good luck.

The OP seems to have generated a response yesterday to his 2 and a half year old post , when perhaps a PM would have sufficed if this is a response to a recent inquiry . As long as we are all here again, I will reiterate the rarity of any Seated Liberty silver dollars being dug and posted here - I don't remember seeing one prior to this. I did see a Trade Dollar posted years ago.

Yea- I bumped an old thread... but no offense- I was new at the hobby then, and didn't put the name / description of what I found in the title.

I feel that because of that- the item didn't get the attention it could have.

So while the management of the website might say 'old thread'- I think that doesn't change the fact- I dug a coin that I never saw posted here before that, and haven't seen since.

Otherwise you might as well say all posthumous military awards are invalid as well.

To limit the time passed for people to recognize / appreciate (especially based on something as stupid as what my old thread title was) does not change what was found.

Had I known how this all works then- I would have put what the coin is in the title- as it is now.

Bottom line- "I dug a coin that I never saw posted here before that, and haven't seen since."

Hey , no disrespect here ! These are rare coins ,look at the ridiculously low mintage numbers (tens to hundreds of thousands ) and as the "Redbook" points out- most of these were used for export trade . My comment about your re- post was directed to those who hadn't noticed the date of your original post.
