I had an unbelievable Friday night! I found 2 CC dimes. I made the mistake of cleaning the back of the 1873. The 1875 has the mint mark in the middle. A beautiful 1888 seated S quarter. An 1897 Barber dime!

My friend found an 1857 1/2, 1871 CC dime, and another seated dime! I did not picture my friends finds. D29298E1-24EC-4D12-9E54-AA13FF68EB4A.webpF4FEFCEA-8310-4C7E-82AC-C4999B9CD569.webpDBF10020-61E2-41B0-9BE5-1CB2C154B96C.webp4ECA06D5-89BD-470E-92F6-57CD09D162F0.webp

My Red Book shows both the '71CC and the '73 CC with arrows @ $3000 for "good" condition. The '73 without arrows is the one worth big bucks as most were melted at the mint. Carson Chris is living up to his name. More CC's are in your future! Gary

dang that's awesome. Being in Carson City, each time you dig a coin could be a potential winner.

I had only found 1 seated dime In Carson until Friday. Most got hunted out years ago.

Well Carson, you just proved out what we all often say, no such thing as a hunted out place. Well, damn near anyway.

That was an awesome hunt. It appears Nevada soil is not kind to silver coins. As a rule Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky soils do not treat silver coins that way.The copper only suffer when fertilizer has been used.

Your friend also found another 1871 dime, but this time it was a San Francisco mint. IMG_20200719_214024454.webp
