Hello all ! Found this realy ugly silver dollar today.I found it in some coal ash so it's in pretty rough shape.1'st year morgan and the 2'nd I've dug.I found it on the lawn of a friend while looking for the suvey stakes. The deal was i find the stakes, i get to detect and keep all that i find.I found one of the stakes and now i just need to measure off that one to find the rest so I'll be headed back tomorrow ! Oh and i also found a couple of weat cent's an old knife and a few old toys. ;D

Thanks Daryl, I am going to do it again but i think it's not going to do much more as the acid in the coal ash really did a number on it.I been experimentin on some other stuff and having fun with it ! I also only have an 8 amp transformer, but already got some idea's for a better set up.I'm thinkin 220 strait to the fusebox ! Just kidding !!!! ;D

Aw heck, go outside and climb the pole for that good ole 11Kv stuff. We don't need no stinking transformers.

Acid and coal ash??? What the #*!#*%?????

Daryl

Cool finds, congrats! Always love to find silver.

OK. It looks like a real Morgan to me now--just seen better days. Cheers!

I think your Morgan is authentic..intense heat does incredible things to metals..still a rare find and should be quite a conversation piece.

Nat
