Huge CongratZ...very jealous!
I have found lots of old coins and way, way more than my share of silver and gold jewelry too.
In the scouting dept. I have found tons of neck slides and a few other scouting things like a scout Cross brand mechanical pencil with 24k gold plated metal parts which I believe is a pretty rare find in our biz since I have never seen any other hunter post or even talk about one.
Still, despite all I have accomplished for some reason high up on my bucket list is still the dream of finding a silver scout ring.
Don't know why, maybe because they just seem so cool to me.
Any brand specific ring is extra special in my mind, one of my favorite treasures is a Harley Davidson ring I found once but a scout ring still eludes me.
You did what so far I could not, hopefully I too will have one in my collection one day.
I think you may have answered a question for me digger, I found a metal mechanical pencil at an old GS camp that I passed off as just a random pencil.
Maybe there is a story behind it. They apparently used these mechanical pencils in their field work. I will have to get it out to take a closer look at it.
