I would like to show this coin and see if I could get some help on if the coin is rare or not. There are two different effigies and I am confused as to why. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. steelie 001.webpsteelie 002.webp

Looks like normal wear and rubbing to me. You can drive yourself crazy trying to find one off coins that don't exists.

Personally, I don't see any differences in the bust that do not appear to be the result of toning and light.

I guess in person what you think you are seeing is more obvious. I've looked now from both my home and (better) work screens and I don't see anything that's not wear differences and PMD.

Can you be more specific in the differences you see? Nose shape? Hair contours?

If you just keep putting up images we won't get very far.

Biggest differences I see Shorter nose
Shorter Chin
his eyes are squinting,
and mouth looks almost like he's Smiling amusingly .

{add the wear line from the eye to the ear could suggest
a wire frame Glasses arm.}

on the S Cent.

however as said above it is all too obvious wear.
and the mind playing tricks .

I don't even see anything I could blame on a Hobo for the changes.
especially when you are talking steel

I'm willing to pay good money for it. I just need you to name a price.
