Its about time! This area has had so much construction in the last 30yrs its hard to find old coins. At a new park, pretty well picked over.Went to the upper field and with in 3 min got a VDI 94-95 at 2 inches (50c id) Figured it was garbage but dug.

Its bent from a dozer blade hit, but its silver and sweet: 1922 LH Silver Dollar

That seems like you have my brand of good luck. Let's hope you don't have my brand of bad luck to go with it.

It appears I left my "bad luck" back in Upstate NY when I moved here in Aug '07. ;D
I even had a 5.3 coil on , for such a huge area I had to be on top of it to find it (and I was)
I plan on going back with a larger coil. Spent an hour hunting the area around it, nothing but a few modern clad and trash. I should have gotten a lottery ticket on the way home ;D

Nice Job...She's hurtin but you can bend her back...Congrats on the Peace Dollar

Went to the shop at work and put it in a vise with wood on both ends. Appears to start curshing at the ends when too much force is applies. O'well guess I leave it bent.

Congrats! BIG Silver!

Try hammering a smaller piece of wood against the coin (using a wood block backing). I bet you can get it unbent enough to finish it off with the vise.

Your first silver coin in a silver dollar?! LUCKY!!! That's awesome!! I've been detecting for over 14 years and the closest thing to a silver dollar I've ever found was a 1972 Ike dollar!

Very nice find, even though it is bent

HEY silver is beautiful any angle you can get it at. I have yet to dig one of those. i just bought a 1928s in the mail though. GOOD JOB!!!

WTG, I would keep it bent ::)
