Sorry no pics but I have to relate this story. My nephew hunts in Southern Illinois. He was contacted by a couple of friends from the police force about helping them find a couple of rings stolen in a robbery.
They found the suspect hiding in some tall grass and she claimed to have thrown the 2 rings into a grassy area. The grass was 2-3 feet high so my nephew had them mow it then he went to work. He found absolutely nothing in the area, and told the police she may have thrown the rings somewhere else with the intention of coming back later to pick them up. The backtracked along the route where they figured the suspect had traveled and sure enough he found both rings.
One was quite valuable with either 5 or 6 half carat diamonds.
Needless to say he was quite excited and the police were also very happy to recover the rings.
