? ? ? ? ? ? VERY SERIOUS!? ? ?? ?

I have the approximate location, within a 1/2-3/4 mile radius!
There are two complete 1700s ? Spanish Cannons!
Carridge, barrels and even cannon balls and powder!
I can authenicate the story and approximate location!
Anyone have a device that can locate these?
Fairly level rough terrain.
Near a river!

Cptbil,

I was down there, got my detectors taken away by the game warden for being on private property... Posted it on Metal detecting Padre Disaster... Everything looks like it is going to be okay though, found a friend with a friend who made a few calls and I am getting my stuff back with a small fine(donation). Be coming there for this event in a few weeks, emailed you telling you I was coming and left my number, guess you didnt get it. [email protected] and I will give you my number again. I still want to do coffee and possibly hunt with you on one of your adventures. I can make the time and have the determinations and skills, Let me know when

Dave45:

I haven't had a chance to really use the TM 808. I got it specifically for a site in NM where there are some fairly recent signs of someone digging for something around an old ruins I found on BLM land. My dad and I have been several times to check it out but when I tried the TM 808 it wasn't working properly. I sent it to Whites and they fixed it for me (some loose connections) and I have it sitting, waiting to be used! I borrowed the Whites video on how to use the TM 808 from a friend of mine and from what I can tell it works pretty well. It's easy to operate but that's about all I can tell you for now. I hope to use it soon and find something good. :) Where are you located? What did you have in mind to use it for?

The "808"? DOES? have a Tunnel/cave mode !
And! It? DOES/CAN? find voids/funnels/caves, etc!!
But! As with any piece of equipment!? :-
? ::) PRACTICE AND MORE PRACTICE? ::)? is needed!
Just because you have piece of equipment doesn't necessarily mean, you'll find anything with IT!

UNLESS!? :o
You can operate and interpret, what it is telling You!!? :-
Just try running? ;D? a "Magnetometer" or a "GPR", some day!? ?::)
That's why, they have a computer software program with them!
With A METAL DETECTOR!
YOU! ARE the COMPUTER!? ::)

Hey CptBil, that fluxgate mag I sold you a couple years ago should have no trouble finding the cannons. It should go crazy if you get within 1,000 feet of them. Its that sensitive! You can pinpoint the location by tilting the mag up.

Geez, CptBill, you must have some kind of secret handbook or more blind luck than anyone I've ever heard of! I should take a vacation out there and hang with you to see how it's really done!

bill, i don't have one but if you can run across an old thomas escope from the early 80s it will take you to the cannon....know a man that used one alot,, and it would pick up buried iron and steel for miles...not too good for anything else though.....except by pure luck, or a lot of digging iron and steel......probably why thomas caught so much $%#@ over it.......

The last one of those that I saw, was in New Mexico, a good decade ago!? :P
I, pretty much have the general location? ?:P? ?worked out!
But! Even then, It sure would be a help and save a lot of work, if'n I could reduce? ?:D the area by a few square miles!? ::)
They have been buried for a GOOD! long time!

Darn. Now after reading all this I sure wish I had hung onto my 2 box unit for a good cannon hunt.
Maybe if I hook a car battery to my CZ 70 I can squeeze a little more power out of it. ;D

RED:
Are YOU! coming down alone?? ???
? ?AND!
For how long?
I'll be here? 8)? until after the first of April!
I'm working on "brokering" the West Texas Deal!? ::)
I may be able to consign the whole amount * !
? 8)? I should know in a week or so!? ?:D

AS far as "Brass "L" rods" ...
They are a totally unknown..? ????
I'd sure hate to depend on them? ?::)? and end up walking right over or past the? Cannons (Ariz. Site) ..? ?>:(
Because they didn't work!
No!
I'll depend? ?;)? on proven electronic devices!? ? Mags, 2 box, deep seeking MDs and the like!
But!
It would be a great chance/way to check out the authenticity of the "Rods"...
By setting up a "Field Test"!

* Minus what we take out for our personal use!
