Took a buddy out with me to a site I've only been to once before. He's never found anything old and I've made it my mission to put him onto something old and interesting. The day started with me finding a little teeny weeny silver coin. Turned out to be an 1851 French 20 cent piece. This thing is so damn small. I put it next to a Seated Dime to show just how small it was. My next find was an enormous axe head. I love the shape and would love to know a date range. Well that about did it for this guy today besides a spoon or fork handle and some round balls.
Best part of the day was my bud calling me over and holding up an old dirty copper. I was so damn happy for him. He's such a nice guy and hasn't had much luck. Then he pulls out a beautiful old brass toy cannon. Very very nice piece. Then he pulls out a beautiful and very ornate garter buckle! Ok killer slow down and leave some for your boy here :-) Totally kidding I could not have been more happy. It was a very satisfying day out.

Had to get on my phone, 1800's silver deserves good pix,George and you both find 1800's silver and then try to break my neck to look at them, lol . Maybe your buddy could show you how to focus your phone camera. And then how to post it upright. You guys can figure out an expensive high tech metal detector, figure out how to use the right program to find awesomeness, but you can't figure out how to use your phones. Haaaaaa
I want to see the obverse, that's nice detail, cannot wait to see your buddies state copper.

So my buddy just sent me a pic of his first old coin and it's a freaking Mass copper like I dug last weekend! What are the chances of his first old coin ever being a Mass Copper. That is awesome! I didn't need 2 anyway lol

Ha guilty as charged! I don't get why they're right if you click on em? All I need is a md! Screw this stupid iPad and iPhone. My T2 and I understand each other :-)

Lol....After him hunting like that for clad you know im going to have to throw him a bone......
You're a good friend....and sponsor :-)

Very nice 20 centimes coin! The exchange rate would have made it worth approximately 4 US cents back then.
