That artillery corps button is sick! That's my favorite button style and one I hope to find one day. Love the patina on that one. Never seen an Enfield marked like that with a 57... Sounds like its the caliber stamped in there.

.......I found a CORPS button identical to yours when I was like 13- (round 1976)---was on a club hunt
and we passed by a cellar hole and I said "why aren't we stopping?" and the adults said "That one has been done to death"
it was a nice looking hole and I hung back while they continued down a long dirt road to find others - I came up with the button and a few others that were missed - I showed them up that day

Always love digging those early American military 1 piece buttons, been fortunate to recover a few of the CORPS varients, but the ARTY variety still eludes me. Nice hunt gents

Those type buttons are "dream" types for my area , but anything is possible.

Now, I do love Me some Enfields. Especially those 'most likely' run through the Union Blockade Such as yours with the plug cavity & cavity Mark . The '57' look's great in there & the Patina is a Cool Color Brown'ish.
