My wife's parents kept her Grandmothers belongings in storage for 30 years. I finally went through it all, pulled out a lot of collectibles and these were things I thought you guys would like. I have already sent pictures and have verified the German uniform pieces are real.

Great pieces, dispite what they stood for they represent a unforgetable time in history and are most definately important finds.
ZDD

Nobody knew anything about the uniform pieces. I went on some Military uniform websites, very interesting stuff. The Skull is a "SS Totenkopf Collar Tab" worn by the SS in the concentration camps. Like I said I found this in all the old belongings and nobody new anything about it.

Nice saves. It's important not to forget history, no matter how bad it is. Here is a photo of a cache of WW2 momentos I purchased from the estate of a former WW2 US soldier-

Interesting collectives from the past! Those silver dollars appear to be pretty fair condition.

cool finds for sure. the bevo-weave SS eagles appear to be the size for wear on the shoulder (SS uniforms did not display an eagle on the chest), and from a roll of unused stock. perhaps your wife's grandfather served in WW2 and brought them back?

Interesting finds. If the human heart and spirit ever evolve enough, hopefully someday the spirit of those Peace silver dollars will trump the reality and symbols of human destruction. Andi

Yes those are "Sleeve Eagles". The Grandfather did not serve in the war. btw, I clean all the coins that I keep but read somewhere not to do that?

Nice finds! The Totenkopf tab is actually 3rd Waffen SS Panzer Division and not related to the camps, those were run by the Allgemeine SS and while they did have a Totenkopf tab, it's different from that one. Those BeVO eagles are nice, I remember buying those uncut for around 50$ each and now they bring over 100. (you'll see them priced up to 400$ online, but around 120$ is a more realistic price) The tabs look unused as well, which can be problematic, can you post some close ups of the front and back of both?

It was overwhelming. My wife's family is the type to complain how I went through all the stuff but was unwilling to help. Better for me, I kept the good stuff. I looked up most everything to get the value on ebay and although some of the stuff was worth some money, there was too much and I took it to the Goodwill. The Grandma was addicted to Fingerhut so lots of that crap. But some really nice old dish sets, china, etc. that I kept. Check out these old drinking glasses, some are old Disney glasses. And this Madrid amber depression glass.DSCN2262.webpDSCN2542.webpDSCN0480.webpDSCN0481.webp
