I have a 303 Savage serial # is 508851. Can anyone tell me where it was made and when? The condition is excellent. What might it be worth?

Many of the 300 Savages were modified. Scopes added for example.
Unmolested ones hold a decent value. Mint ones are not my forte. L.o.l..

Last few I looked at were around a few hundred each. Seller wasn't hungry.

I got a vintage 300 Savage lol. Hard to find ammo. Make that a Remington Model 722 in a 300 Savage.

Decades ago I had a Savage manufacture Enfield No.4 Mk1, marked U.S. Property, part of the Lend-Lease agreement with the States. Two groove barrel, worn out, I could not improve on the accuracy (so sold) shot the .303 British round. I have one made in England that is a fine shooter, maybe an armory rebarrel.

There's plenty of .303 Savage ammo available; and depending on the load, cost varies from $50
to $75 for a 20 round box. Basically, it's $2.00 every time you pull the trigger.

Did not know that. Assuming a specialty manufacturer or Remington/winchester/fedeal?

Lee makes a couple type low end cost hand loaders.
The whack a mole cheapest ; and the hand press type.
Both are portable and the hand press cold probably reload box the time it takes to watch a movie. Though I would suggest more concentration than that.

I used the whack a mole type for shotgun years ago. With study such can be done by making many of the tools ones self. A wadding fingers device I don't know.. But then I haven't tried to build such either.

Roll your own isn't uncommon among some certain caliber fans.
The first 45-70 fans I encountered were like that.
