Got out in the woods for a couple hours today....happy to find some old copper, unfortunately they are pretty smoked.

2 are Large cents, one of which was obviously "redesigned" by someone a long time ago using some form of a punch??

I believe one is a King George or similar type coin.

I have no idea what the other 2 are that are pictured together.

The last pic is of 2 buttons with the buckle.

And, sadly today will be my last day in the woods until it turns cold again. I found several deer ticks on my pants....I have already had one bout with Lyme disease and once was enough! The snow cover didn't give me much time this winter >:(

One of the Large cents cleaned up better than I thought....1803

thanks for looking!

Nice digs...one lookslike it has a Harp on the back.If it has a crown on top it is from England. If it doesnt it might be a colonial coin minted in NH.Deer ticks are a pain all us New Englanders wish we could do without.

I think you might be right about the harp, I noticed that earlier but was not sure how to narrow it down

Nice different style buckle and the Inde Et Lib copper most likely a Conn Copper 1785-1788 and the Harp is a KGII or KGIII Irish Halfpenny. Can't help on the duo group.

PERMANOME (acvtive ingrediant you look for is: Permethrin) spray for clothing, spray the socks, boots, pants inside and out, save that clothing just for detecting, it lasts awhile. The supplier I got mine from Walmart, no longer seems to carry it, but Dick's Sporting Goods, has a similar spray can for clothing ONLY. It works, however, big ticks, the ones easy to spot, seem to scurry right over the clothing, but the small ones usually repel and/or die from the treated clothing. You still have to be careful, nothing is 100% effective.

Seems to be very hard to find right now, but on Cabela's web site their is a similar product, same active ingrediants, I might have to order from them if I can not find a local source.

The downside of the sprayed clothing is if you wear in warm weather and sweat, the spray may give you a rash....
