Hi all,
I was searching for another private yard in the neighborhood and came across a vacant home with a "For Rent" sign on it..I called the number on the sign but had to leave a message since no human being was there to answer. Before I left, I went to look in the back yard to see what the back yard looked like. I noticed a young gal next door in her back yard and she looked over and saw me, so I said hi. She asked if I was going to be renting the house and I told her why I was there. She looked very nice and so I decided to ask if I could check her yard before I left..she had no problem with me doing so, so I figured there was no time like the present!
I started with the front yard. There were pennies everywhere, and an occasional dime and quarter, but no silver (which is what I was hoping for). However, I did find a Tootsie Toy car and a wheat penny in her front yard that I gave her.
I found 6 more Tootsietoy vehicles in the back yard, which brought the total to 7, the most of that brand I've ever found in one yard. I also found another toy car, more coins, parts from a cap gun, a few keys and a couple of strange weights that were quite heavy. I also managed to find 2 tokens, one from the 1968 Mr. President coin game from Shell, the other was a Classic Car token from Sunoco, also from 1968. I also found a miniature solid metal fire hydrant with a face on it (anyone know what it originally belonged to?)
No silver but a fun hunt. I'm still hoping to get permission to hunt the yard next door before it gets too cold.

Wow, seven cars in one yard! That has to be a first. One of your weights is for fishing, the one with the eyelet, the other one, I have no idea what it was used for. HH and hope you get permission to hunt that other yard.
