deeep water hunting with cz21
old CT beach - used my snuba system and hit deep water
5 old gold
1 silver ring
2 sil quarters
4 silver dimes
1 bufalo nicklel
cracker jack cow prize
got to check other stuff still
have to wait till i get home Im in RI right now - gonna try some old RI spots tommorrow
lurker friend who hits old bchs at deep fresh water spots
sent me a pic of ring identical to the one with 3 small red stones
mine has a sideways anchor and a K in it - his does too (dont know what it stands for -usually anchor stands for Birmingham Eng.)ring is thin so not much room to put much in it
small band just has 14k
blue stone ring is stamped 10k C&CO
large signet has no markings - it is very worn - looks like it was worn for yrs before lost
larger wedding band has a deep stamp in it - P.B -which is same makers mark as a 1928
wedding band I found in Aug. but has no other markings
the rest of the stuff found on monday I got the 5 gold
tiny gold wedding band I found was found in middle of small iron
pieces in lower left - I found a few more than that too - was surprised when I saw tiny gold in bottom of my hand scoop
instead of another piece of rusty steel and this was on my way heading out -
aluminum shaker cap in middle is about size of a half dollar - huge ring around it is lead
dont know what it went to - looks like a batting weight lead strip at top looks like might have been a boat patch - it had some tar on it too when found
most of the sinkers look older
bronze pin next to knife blade looks old - ends are hammered - might be off a boat
brass object inside of hook - is another one of those "good signs"
it is an old bathing cap snap - if you go back to my original post - you will see a brass bathing suit buckle
(which are always a great sign)
buckle was my first target that day - which perked me right up - not to far from it I found a Merc dime and little farther I found large old gold signet ring
hook is big - probably for stripper - this beach has a lot of strippers - people feed them in shallows during the summer
always tell friends to fish there but none try it - if I was into spear fishing - would make a killing
bronze ring at bottom right looks like something off a boat
I found a few other old brass and bronze bits and pieces I did not put in pic
I dont mind finding lead, copper, brass and bronze junk
beats finding bottle caps and pulltabs though
