If you were given 8 hours to take your metal detector ALONE anywhere in the USA, where would you choose? And why? Only one rule... It has to be OUTSIDE in the GROUND. (Not outside Fort Knox getting a reading from down in the basement) haha

Through some research I have located the spot that my 3RD Great Grandfather settled in 1799. It is about 10 miles from where I live now. I will be asking the current owners for permission to hunt this spring. So with any luck, I will be hunting my dream spot.

150 yards off shore in the Atlantic, and 3/8 mile north of the Indian River inlet bridge, with a 1/3 x 1/3 mile area with the water removed, just like in the 10 Commandments film starring Charleton Heston.

He is passed on now, so I would like to find it so I can give it to my mother, since she misses him so much. That and I promised him I would one day find it if I ever get the chance to go back to Bama.
