Just got back a couple days ago from the DIV XXII hunt in Culpeper. Had a blast and the weather was great. In addition to digging about 20 bullets and some other misc camp brass I was able to get into a nice little trash pit that yielded an olive green wine bottle with a kick-up base. It also had some beautiful whittle marks on the spout. I also dug an aqua umbrella ink with a pontilled base. Found lots of parts to a patent whiskey as well which I may be able to partially reconstruct. All-in-all it was a fun 3 days and I enjoyed hunting and spending time with my buddy Reid, and good friend Evan who flew in from Oregon for the hunt. I also got in a lot of practice time with my relatively new Minelab GPX-5000 which I plan to take this weekend to the site where all the hammered silver coins were dug 3-4 years ago. Wish me luck, and hopefully I'll have something exciting to post.
