Still re-visiting sites I've already hit, and the finds keep on coming. This past Thursday I found the 1861 Seated Quarter and 1857 Seated Dime (both in rough shape but I'll take them!), and yesterday, on my second hunt ever with my son, I found the 1913 Barber and 1930 Mercury Dimes. My son found a 1944 Merc and a silver ring- not bad on his first 2 hunts.

Enjoy the pics and hopefully everyone has some good success over the weekend!

Jeff

Very good finds for both you and your son!

My mom was born in 1913 so I couldn't stop smiling when I saw your lovely 1913 Barber dime! The closest I've gotten to finding a coin near my mom & dad's birth years was 1923, but sometime the older ones will pop up for me also as my son's already dug an 1848 dime in an area where we both dig. HAVE FUN! Andi

The detail on the 1913 Barber is awesome, but a "family" hunt is pure gold! Congrats!

Sweet silver finds. Nice ones like that don't turn up every day. Congrats to you and your son.

Thank you all for the kind words. Amazing feeling hunting with my son!

He will remember those times. I do. So does my son who is out on his own now.
