Interesting you say this because I just went to a monument that turns up a big creature on the solstice about 11am -noon, this creature usually has a defining part that has peep sites on other similar monuments, well to keep the story short, I just noticed there's a triangular peep formed there were it always is on the similiar creature monuments , and I am looking at the monument from across a road (didn't walk all the way up to it today) and I know there were 3 caches in the 70's dug across the river from it using peep sites.
The vaults are really too deep in bedrock to be reached with most detectors and with a couple feet of dirt on top added to the depth it makes most treasures out of reach with most detectors unless you have a shallow overnight vault or a personal cache, its hard to get a detector that really reaches much over 5 feet deep unless the metal target is really big like car size big.
The only big problem is finding the entrances on deeper targets. The aura doesn't tell the depth, it just tells the vicinity. Tunnels and hillsides are the problem. The entrance can be well off the aura. Like 20 feet or more. Which is a problem in hand digs. Smaller markers are better and probably closer, than when you have larger markers and auras, its going to be more difficult. I would like to mostly work places with seem-ably straight down digs. I've worked the larger auras on hillsides and they are not giving up any secrets yet..I'm more prone to take a backhoe if I can to anything, but I'm like 60 years old now already , time's getting away from us as fast as we learn more....I can't believe I'm already 60. I have a lot to do yet. I feel like I'm 35-40.
Something of interest if you do find the smaller storages there is a good chance there are many of them in the same area, I guess they subscribe to the idea of don't keep all your eggs in one basket. Kenworthy told my parents of how he found a cluster of treasures and showed them in one aerial photo, and of course with auras I have discovered this to be true as well.

The Quinn recovery was legitimate, but it was not an "old" burial. It was a one-off and came during the Mexican Revolution in an effort by a wealthy Mexican rancher aligned with the Federales to remove gold bullion from his ranch to a safe haven in the US. The layout, symbols, et al, were of his design. I got this decades ago from a well-informed Arizonian who was close to Quinn.
My parents with Kenworthy when he was in AZ working on the Dutchman treasure in the Superstitions. Interestingly I was the one who got my parents into the treasure hunting field when I was 18 after hearing about a Spanish Doorway in a mountain from a friend (which I found many years later) then my parents got a bunch of big time treasure hunters at the time involved.

They are kind of blurry John, and difficult to see much in, however the heart in the cactus is pretty interesting, but to be honest not much context in what appears to be cropped and zoomed pictures in general. I understand not wanting to give a site away with a full picture, but you need to understand that we can't get much from the cropped pictures that often become blurry.
