Great pics Fossis, thanks for posting. Did you check out that fireplace for loose stones and hidey holes? It would be pretty neat if you could find a long forgotten stash around there some where. Good luck when you get back there with your detector,

There are several Amish and Menonite farms around here, it is very interesting to see them working thier fields with equiptment like you took pictures of.

Hey Charlie, I didn't have much light, I will look better on the return trip.
Just over the hill from the cabin (near an old cemetary), a 'Civil war' button was found in the road a few years ago.

Nice Its a dam Shame at times this would be a Great place to film a hollywood movie about the old west, However if it were me I would save it and cherish it Just My$ .02 worth

If someone had started years ago to 'preserve it', it would be nice, but the weather has taken it's toll, & the corners are starting to slowly rot away, but it is a shame to lose them.
