[Calabash Digger]

Went to a new site today and it paid off...

[smokeythecat]

You are killing it!

[HuntinDog]

Man CD,
I'm really getting tired of all your fantastic finds....
Especially while I sit here with a bad knee and can't get out and detect.

All kidding aside...
love your videos and finds.
Keep up the great work.

[dirtlooter]

boy, you find the spots for sure. what do you think the ring is? love the buttons and you have been killing them, what a variety too

[Calabash Digger]

I don't know about the ring. I would love some info on it.

[vferrari]

The ring is cool. Time to update your avatar Sunburst. Lol. Wow - 2018 is unreal.

[Bart@Big Boys Hobbies]

Great finds!

[vferrari]

Hey Calabash, is the red cloth pic everything you dug that day except the trash or is that everything you dug (period). If the latter , I am even more jealous.

[Joe hunter]

I’m jealous ,cant wait to hear more about the ring.

I was cherry picking , I did slip once and dug a shotgun shell that day..... I got a recycling plant in my back yard! Maybe 15-25 to 1 ratio on that site

[vferrari]

Ok, so you are human and not some relic sucking alien from another planet. Lol.

[RustyGold]

Way to go CD! Always fantastic finds. Here’s to more sunbursts coming your way.

[Molewacker]

Waiting to see the ring cleaned up! Congrats!
I think it is a Victorian Era Egyptian revival ring w/ 3 twined cobras- IMHO

"As a result of the work on the Suez Canal in the mid-1860's and the Egyptian excavations of Auguste Mariette and the resultant exhibit of Egyptian treasures at the Exposition Universelle in 1867, a fascination for all things Egyptian developed."

Hope this helps!

[vferrari]

That is awesome info Molewhacker. Whether or not it applies in this case (good chance it does) thanks for sharing the story. I love that stuff.

[Molewacker]

Just trying to correlate era of buttons with jewelry trends - this is another IMHO theory, but haven't seen a 3 snake ring yet.

"In 1840 Prince Albert designed a snake ring for Queen Victoria, two snakes wrapped round the finger in an enchanting symbol of eternal love"

[Jeff H]

There you go Calabash. Hurtin' feelings again. The button is outstanding, the ring is very cool!

[Patriot Relics]

Love that one piece sunburst NC, guessing that snake ring is Victorian, but that's a pretty wide spread. Nice work with the light cleaning you do, just enough dirt to see the details without nuking the button... Easier said then done. Keep crushing it
