Saturday......The sun came out and melted off the morning freeze and it became downright springlike. I dont think Ive hunted since January and I had a real itch to get out. My plan was to hit an old cellar hole that I had scoped out several weeks ago, yet upon arriving, I was greeted with snow, ice, mud, and water. I really wasnt up to dealing with this so I headed for my default area.......the grassy slopes at the beach park.Myself and others hunt this large area regularly as it never seems to run out of targets. The area I focused on this time was loaded with pull tabs.....so many that I opted not to dig everything.I looked at each target and dug those that were solid hits that didnt waver on the scale. Oh, I still dug my share of junque, but the fourth plug turned up a chunky gold ring with a brownish, fisheye looking stone. The hallmark looks like B10??...Ill assume its 10k. Bout 20 minutes, 20 pulltabs , and 20 pieces o clad later, I popped out a 925 ring with a black stone and a bit after that a huge , previously plated rhinestone bracelet.(Wish that had been real). Anyway, it was a beauty day for a hunt.....heres a few pics....and as usual.. the best of luck to all....Joe
