Hello all,
About six weeks ago,I posted a piece of trade silver that I had found on the surface of one of my sites. Many of you encouraged me to return with a metal detector. I did just that last Wed. with a couple of my friends and we did very well indeed. The following are photos from that day.

This one is really amazing.

This armband was actually a surface find. It was sticking halfway out of the ground.

Also found was this beauty, a 1834 cent.

While digging one of the smaller brooches I dislodged this nice gunflint.

We also paid a visit to another one of our sites nearby. My friend found this sweet triangle to top off an incredible day.

Other items discovered included a thimble with a hole in its top (perhaps made into a bead), a wonderful gun part , a dozen or so musket balls, and a chunk of an old kettle.

I will post more photos later. Thanks, Unitas

Thanks everyone for the kind words. We looked closely at the ear wheel but were unable to find any touchmarks. The arm band however shows a "MONT" mark and one that is unreadable. By comparing it to others my friend believes it to be a Cruickshank piece.------on the thimble I would agree it probably is a tinkler of some sort. The gun part is more than likely off the trigger guard.-------- We plan to return to the site soon and detect some more. HH ,Unitas
