Hi all,

I've been hunting here and there this week and came up with quite a variety of stuff..I started the week with a couple of school yards (where I found a soccer medal, a whistle, a junk ring and a scout neckerchief slide) and ended with a couple of private yards, which yielded 6 wheat pennies (no silver >:(), some keys, an antique toy car, a Thomas Jefferson coin, another whistle, a 1960's ziptop tab, a neat little bell (looks like it's made of pewter), a large brass hose nozzle, and a cool medal apparently from WWII (if anyone knows anything about it let me know )

Damn Natman.... another nozzle? Haven't you found about 12 this year?? ;D Interesting whistle, ww1 medallion, and that bell.

The round whistle is known as a Silent Dog Whustle, when ya blow in it, the frequency is so high mostly only dogs can hear it.........Not GE

Another great hunt Nat

If the law requires that tabs STAY on the cans now, why do I find so many in the ground without the can? ???..... Not GE BTW, interesting finds, I also am using the brass nozzles I find, usually they just need cleaning and a new gasket.

That's a good point..do that many people intentionally break them off, just to throw them on the ground? I find them everywhere, just like I find pull rings.

I use one of my nozzles too, all it needed was a new gasket..the "O" ring inside is still intact..it'll probably be the last one I'll ever need!

The long whistle can be heard if you cover the end when you blow on it..however that end is threaded for some reason..there may have been another piece to it.

Thank you all for the replies
Nat

The threads inside the whistle were there for an adjustable pitch for the silent treatment, you could change the pitch for different commands just by screwing the part that is missing, in or out.. Not GE go to a pet store and look at one, you'll see what I mean.
