Hi all,

I've been hunting here and there this week and came up with quite a variety of stuff..I started the week with a couple of school yards (where I found a soccer medal, a whistle, a junk ring and a scout neckerchief slide) and ended with a couple of private yards, which yielded 6 wheat pennies (no silver >:(), some keys, an antique toy car, a Thomas Jefferson coin, another whistle, a 1960's ziptop tab, a neat little bell (looks like it's made of pewter), a large brass hose nozzle, and a cool medal apparently from WWII (if anyone knows anything about it let me know )

Those are some cool finds!
I'm sure that medal has some interesting history behind it.

Nat, that sure is a wide variety of finds you have there.

I'm looking at that soccer medal of yours. It sure looks like the emblem in the middle could be gold/gold plated of some type. It doesn't look tarnished one bit.

Congrats!!

Dan, you should have seen my face when I saw this round gold thing in the hole..I was sure I had a gold coin for a second. You're right, not a speck of tarnish on that part of it.

Hey Nat, I'm not sure about the medal either but, the bell is kinda cool.
I found the exact same pencil shaped whistle at a school here too..

Keep safe...

You can't just go out and find good old brass hose sprayers anymore. I use one of the ones I found.

Love the bell and the medal, Nat! But of course, it's all good!

Nana :)

The bell is very cool! Great stuff Nat, as usual

Yeah, just like always, a very nice assortment of finds Natman .

Cool finds Nat!! love the bell!

That's a neat bunch of goodies Nat. I agree with the Captn...i think that little soccer emblem is gold plated. I bet that 'bout caused a change of shorts when you saw it in the hole ;D

Thanks all

Great finds. You know you have an older area when you find those types of tabs, the first to be produced.

Thanks for the link mastereagle..that's the 4th one I've found so far!

Thanks Bryce..all I saw at first was something that looked like a coin..you guys may be right about the plating, I think the other part is copper.

If the law requires that tabs STAY on the cans now, why do I find so many in the ground without the can? ???..... Not GE BTW, interesting finds, I also am using the brass nozzles I find, usually they just need cleaning and a new gasket.
