(photos added, note weight on scale to help ID it as copper vs. large cent??no markings at all, leading me to believe it's copper; every large cent we have found there is very clear and readable)
Was at the old Rev War era house where we've found 7 large cents...was with Earthworks, he was following me around with video camera for an hour or so because he came from work and didn't have his detector...we were talking and BSing and I found some clad...ground is frozen so I am using hammer and chisel and pounding the ground...get a good signal and I'm hammering away then get down to the soft ground below the surface...I'm down about 6 inches or more and LARGE CENT I yell as I see the green disc in the ground...and jump up...it's on camera, holy cow. It's great..you can see hudson river in background. What a rush! (It appears to be colonial copper, not a large cent). Does anyone have a site where Earthworks can send you the video and you can post -- and then take it down in a few days or so if it uses too much space?)
