An old semi-flat button

It's true, even the great and powerful Whadi
can have a rather non-productive walk!





It's a fairly solid little button. Not like the usual
flat buttons I find. Can't make a thing out on it tho.

Maybe somebody will recognize the style.

I guess this isn't quite a "skunking" but it did
take 4 hours to find.

Congrats. My memory isn't what it used to, but I seem to remember seeing a button like that and someone ided it as military?

I've seen a few turn up like that at semi older sites. If I had to guess the age I'd say around 1830-1840. (just a guess) I don't think its military related but I don't know that for sure. You've got a chance to turn up some other good stuff in an area that spits out a button like that....unless its a random drop... which could always be the case.

Yes I have also seen that type turn up along with the "normal" flat buttons. Definitely not military and in the 1820-40 time frame.

Pssst,.....my worst day, half a corroded zinc and a hand full of pull tabs.

When i'm finding nothing, i pick up interesting rocks.
